For the Chicken & Sauce:

  • lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry Italian dressing seasoning mix

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for searing)

For Serving:

  • 4 cups cooked white rice or angel hair pasta

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)


Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Sear the Chicken (Optional for extra flavor)
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
4. Sear chicken breasts for 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden. (They don’t need to be cooked through.)
5. Transfer to the baking dish.

Step 3: Make the Sauce
6. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, Italian seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper.
7. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

Step 4: Assemble & Bake
8. Pour sauce over the chicken in the baking dish.
9. Cover with foil and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and tender.
10. Shred chicken in the dish using two forks and stir to mix with the sauce.

Step 5: Serve Over Rice or Pasta
11. While chicken bakes, cook white rice or angel hair pasta according to package directions.
12. Spoon creamy chicken and sauce over the rice or pasta.
13. Garnish with parsley or Parmesan, if desired.
