- 1 pound flank steak (thinly sliced)
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium)
- 1 teaspoon peanut oil
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (packed)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)
- 2 teaspoons dark soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons oyster sauce
- ½ teaspoon white pepper (ground)
- 1 tablespoon grape juice
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 pound lo mein noodles
- 2 tablespoons peanut oil (divided)
- 1 cup mushrooms (sliced)
- 2 cups Napa cabbage (shredded)
- 1 medium carrot (julienned)
- 1 medium red bell pepper (julienned)
- 1 cup snow peas
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 3 green onions (cut into 2 inch pieces)
Instructions
- Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, and other sauce ingredients.
- Marinate the sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch for about 10 minutes.
- Heat peanut oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the beef until browned, then set aside.
- In the same wok, stir-fry mushrooms, cabbage, carrots, and bell pepper for two minutes.
- Add snow peas and bean sprouts along with the beef and noodles. Pour the sauce over and toss everything together until combined.
