- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 pound large shrimp, raw, deveined
- 1 pound top sirloin steak, cut into cubes
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
- Blackened seasoning
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Toss shrimp with blackened seasoning. Sauté in vegetable oil over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes per side until opaque. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, sear seasoned steak cubes for about 3-4 minutes until browned but tender. Remove from skillet.
- For the alfredo sauce, melt butter in the skillet; add onions and garlic until soft. Gradually stir in heavy cream and let simmer before adding parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Combine cooked pasta with shrimp and steak in the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
