  • 1 lb Ground Beef (or any ground meat like chicken or turkey)
  • 1 Small Diced Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 Small Diced Yellow Onion
  • 2 Sliced Carrots
  • 2 Sliced Ribs of Celery
  • 2 tbsp Garlic and Herb Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Cajun Seasoning (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 2 Medium Russet Potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz each) Diced Tomatoes
  • 4 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1 Whole Head of Green Cabbage, chopped
  • 1 heaping tbsp Bouillon + 4 cups Water (or broth)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a Dutch oven over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked.
  2. Add diced green pepper, yellow onion, sliced carrots, and celery; season with garlic herb seasoning and sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in tomato paste and cook for a couple of minutes.
  4. Add chopped russet potatoes; mix well.
  5. Pour in diced tomatoes and add minced garlic; stir until combined.
  6. Add chopped cabbage gradually; it will reduce while cooking.
  7. Incorporate bouillon and water/broth; bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes until potatoes and cabbage are tender. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
