Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef (or any ground meat like chicken or turkey)
- 1 Small Diced Green Bell Pepper
- 1 Small Diced Yellow Onion
- 2 Sliced Carrots
- 2 Sliced Ribs of Celery
- 2 tbsp Garlic and Herb Seasoning
- 1 tsp Cajun Seasoning (optional)
- 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
- 2 Medium Russet Potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) Diced Tomatoes
- 4 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 1 Whole Head of Green Cabbage, chopped
- 1 heaping tbsp Bouillon + 4 cups Water (or broth)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a Dutch oven over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked.
- Add diced green pepper, yellow onion, sliced carrots, and celery; season with garlic herb seasoning and sauté until softened.
- Stir in tomato paste and cook for a couple of minutes.
- Add chopped russet potatoes; mix well.
- Pour in diced tomatoes and add minced garlic; stir until combined.
- Add chopped cabbage gradually; it will reduce while cooking.
- Incorporate bouillon and water/broth; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes until potatoes and cabbage are tender. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
