Ingredients

For the Coffee Base:
1 cup brewed coffee (strong or double-strength), cooled
½ cup milk of choice (whole, oat, almond, or soy all work great)
2 tbsp caramel syrup (store-bought or homemade)
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional, adds depth of flavor)
Ice cubes

For the Caramel Drizzle:
1–2 tbsp caramel sauce (for drizzling inside the glass and on top)
Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Step 1: Brew & Cool the Coffee
Brew 1 cup of strong coffee using your preferred method.
Let it cool to room temperature or chill it in the fridge.
Using double-strength coffee ensures the flavor isn’t diluted by the ice.

Step 2: Add the Caramel Base
In a tall glass, drizzle about 1 tbsp of caramel sauce around the inner rim.
This gives your iced coffee that beautiful swirl and sweet flavor in every sip.

Step 3: Mix the Coffee and Milk
Fill the glass halfway with ice cubes.
Pour in the cooled coffee, followed by the caramel syrup and vanilla extract.
Add the milk and stir well to combine.

Step 4: Top It Off
Optional: Add whipped cream for extra indulgence.
Drizzle a little more caramel sauce over the top.
Use a straw or spoon to give it one final stir before sipping.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy
Enjoy your homemade caramel iced coffee right away for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Use Strong Coffee – Regular coffee can taste too weak once iced. Cold brew or espresso are excellent choices.
  • Chill Everything – Cold milk and coffee make your drink instantly refreshing without melting all the ice.
  • Homemade Caramel – Want more control over sweetness? Make your own caramel syrup using sugar, water, and a splash of milk.
  • Dairy-Free Options – Almond, oat, or coconut milk add unique flavors and are great for lactose intolerance.
  • Extra Frothy – Blend your coffee and milk mixture for a creamy, café-style texture.
