  • 2 slices of turkey turkey bacon, chopped
  • 3 shallots, finely diced
  • 1 carrot, finely diced
  • 2 small stalks of celery, finely diced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 400g (14oz) extra lean ground beef
  • 400g (14oz) canned chopped tomatoes
  • 240ml (1 cup) chicken stock
  • 500g (17.5oz) gnocchi
  • 120g (4.2oz) grated mature cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven's broiler.
  2. In a frying pan over medium-high heat, spray with olive oil and cook the turkey turkey bacon until golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add more olive oil and sauté shallots, carrot, and celery until softened.
  4. Add garlic and ground beef; cook until browned.
  5. Stir in mixed herbs, tomatoes, stock, and vinegar; simmer for 20 minutes until thickened.
  6. Gently stir in gnocchi; cover and simmer for an additional 5-8 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper; transfer to a baking dish.
  8. Top with grated cheddar and broil for about 4 minutes until melted.
