  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Vegetable oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  2. Lay out one flour tortilla on a flat surface and place about a quarter of the filling mixture in the center.

  5. For frying: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook chimichangas seam-side down for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. For baking: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C), brush chimichangas with oil, and bake for about 20 minutes until crispy.
