Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 green peppers, thinly sliced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 chicken bouillon cube, crushed
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken breast
- Garlic powder, salt & pepper
- Provolone cheese
- 12 Hawaiian rolls
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet over medium-low heat, add oil and butter. Sauté green peppers and onions with crushed bouillon until soft (about 15 minutes). Stir in brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce.
- In a medium bowl, mix shredded chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken mixture to skillet; stir well and cook for another 5 minutes until heated through.
- In a baking dish, place bottom halves of Hawaiian rolls. Layer with half of provolone cheese, then chicken mixture, followed by the remaining cheese. Top with roll halves.
- Brush tops with melted butter mixed with Italian seasoning.
- Bake for about 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and tops are golden brown.
