Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Mix the Wet Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe banana until smooth.
- Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and the egg. Whisk until well combined.
Step 3: Combine the Dry Ingredients
- Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon (if using), and salt. Stir until just combined—do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
Step 4: Scoop & Bake
- Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers are set.
Step 5: Cool & Enjoy
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Enjoy warm with a glass of milk or store for later!

- Use Overripe Bananas – The riper, the sweeter! Look for brown-spotted bananas.
