  • 3.5 oz dark chocolate bar, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ cup hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 355°F (180°C). Line the bottom of a spring-form pan with parchment paper and grease the sides.
  2. Melt the butter and chocolate in separate bowls.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder; set aside.
  4. Beat eggs and sugar together until pale and fluffy; add in vanilla extract, ricotta cheese, melted chocolate, and butter.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients along with hot water until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes without opening the oven door.
  7. Let cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
