Ingredients

Scale

1 (16 oz) bag mini pretzel twists
⅔ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter for richer flavor)
½ cup granulated sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional Toppings:
¼ cup powdered sugar (for dusting after baking)
Pinch of sea salt (for a salty-sweet contrast)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

Step 2: Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar Coating
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together vegetable oil, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until smooth and well blended.

Step 3: Coat the Pretzels
Add the pretzels to the bowl and toss gently until every pretzel is evenly coated in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Take your time to ensure they’re fully covered for the best flavor.

Step 4: Bake to Perfection
Spread the coated pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even coating and crispness.

Step 5: Cool & Serve
Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheet.
The pretzels will become crunchier as they cool.
Optional: Dust with powdered sugar for an extra sweet finish.

Notes

Use Mini Twists – They hold the coating well and are bite-sized.
Mix Gently – Avoid breaking pretzels by folding the coating in gently.
Don’t Skip Stirring – Toss halfway through baking for even caramelization.
Cool Completely – They continue to crisp as they cool.
Add Nuts – Mix in some pecans or almonds before baking for added crunch.
