  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 green onion (chopped)
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ½ cup drained imitation crab meat or chicken
  • 8 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, chopped green onions, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, granulated sugar, and imitation crab meat. Mix until well combined.
  2. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread generously.
  4. Place one slice of bread butter-side down in the skillet. Spread about ¼ cup of the filling evenly on top and cover with another slice of bread butter-side up.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich using a spatula and cook for another 3-4 minutes until crispy and golden.
  6. Remove from skillet and repeat with remaining sandwiches. Serve warm with sweet chili sauce or garlic chili oil for dipping.
