Description

This creamy corn chowder is a comforting delight that combines sweet corn, hearty potatoes, and crispy turkey turkey bacon into a rich and satisfying dish. Perfect for cozy nights or gatherings, this chowder is not only delicious but also incredibly easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 strips turkey turkey bacon
  • 1/2 medium onion (chopped small)
  • 3 sticks celery (chopped small)
  • 2 medium carrots (peeled & chopped small)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cups frozen or fresh corn
  • 2 large Russet potatoes (peeled & diced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook the turkey turkey bacon until crispy, about 10 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  2. In the same pot, add chopped onion, celery, and carrots; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds. Add flour and stir continuously for one minute.
  4. Gradually pour in chicken broth while stirring to dissolve the flour completely.
  5. Add heavy cream, corn, diced potatoes, Italian seasoning, and most of the cooked turkey turkey bacon back into the pot. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer with lid slightly ajar.
  6. Cook until potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  7. Season with salt and pepper as needed before serving. Garnish with remaining turkey turkey bacon.
