Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix

  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, cut into cubes

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp black pepper

For Serving:

  • 68 sandwich buns or rolls

  • Sliced cheddar, Swiss, or provolone cheese

  • Lettuce, tomato slices, or pickles (optional)

Optional Add-ins:

  • ½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon

  • ¼ cup chopped green onions

  • A dash of hot sauce for a spicy kick

Instructions

Step 1: Add Ingredients to the Slow Cooker
Place chicken breasts in the bottom of your Crock-Pot.
Sprinkle with ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper.
Add cream cheese cubes on top.
Pour in chicken broth to keep everything moist and flavorful.

Step 2: Cook Until Tender
Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is fully cooked and shreds easily.

Step 3: Shred the Chicken
Remove the chicken and shred with two forks.
Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir until everything is evenly coated in the creamy ranch mixture.

Step 4: Serve on Buns
Toast sandwich buns if desired.
Spoon the creamy ranch chicken onto the bottom half of each bun.
Top with cheese slices and let melt slightly from the heat of the chicken.
Add lettuce, tomato, or pickles if you like.

Step 5: Garnish & Serve
Sprinkle with green onions or crispy bacon bits for extra flavor.
Serve warm with chips, fries, or a fresh salad.

Notes

Use Thighs for Extra Juiciness – They stay tender and shred beautifully.
Don’t Overcook – Keep an eye on time so the chicken stays moist.
Toast the Buns – Adds texture and prevents sogginess.
Make it Spicy – Add a few dashes of hot sauce or chopped jalapeños.
Prep Ahead – Make the filling the day before and just reheat when ready to serve.
