Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente.
Drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking. Set aside to cool completely.
Step 2: Prepare the Eggs
Peel and chop the hard-boiled eggs.
For extra deviled egg texture, mash 1–2 yolks separately and set aside to stir into the dressing.
Step 3: Make the Deviled Egg Dressing
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, mustard, sour cream, vinegar or pickle juice, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Add the mashed yolks, if using, for extra richness.
Step 4: Combine Ingredients
Add the cooled pasta, chopped eggs, onions, and pickles or relish to the bowl with the dressing.
