Ingredients
For the Spaghetti Crust:
6 oz cooked spaghetti (about half a standard box)
1 large egg
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp butter, melted
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
For the Filling:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb ground beef or chicken
2 cups marinara or pasta sauce
1 tsp Italian seasoning
¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
For the Cheese Layer:
1 cup ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
1 large egg
½ tsp dried basil or parsley
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
For Topping:
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Grease a 9-inch pie dish or springform pan with butter or nonstick spray.
Step 2: Make the Spaghetti Crust

In a mixing bowl, combine cooked spaghetti, egg, Parmesan cheese, melted butter, salt, and pepper.

Press the mixture into the bottom and slightly up the sides of the pie dish to form a crust.
Step 3: Cook the Meat Sauce

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Sauté onion for 2–3 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds more.

Add ground beef or chicken and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

Step 4: Prepare the Cheese Mixture

In a bowl, stir together ricotta cheese, egg, basil or parsley, and shredded mozzarella.
