- ½ cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup cornmeal

Instructions
- Prepare the catfish by washing and patting dry before cutting it into uniform pieces.
- Mix the seasonings in a bowl and coat the catfish pieces thoroughly.
- Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with whisked buttermilk and eggs, and one with seasoned cornmeal.
- Bread the catfish nuggets by dredging in flour, dipping in the buttermilk mixture, and coating with cornmeal.
- Allow coated nuggets to rest for about 2–3 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large deep frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches about 350°F (177°C).
- Fry the nuggets in batches until golden brown—about 3–4 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels before serving with your favorite dips.
