Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb cooked lobster meat (claw, knuckle, or tail), chopped

  • 4 slices sourdough bread, thick-cut

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for toasting bread)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes, grated Parmesan, or microgreens for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Toast the Sourdough

  1. Brush sourdough slices lightly with olive oil on both sides.

  2. Toast in a hot skillet or under the broiler until golden and crisp on both sides.

  3. Set aside on a plate for assembly.

Step 2: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

  2. Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes, just until fragrant.

  3. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.

  4. Add the chopped lobster meat and toss gently to coat.

  5. Warm for 2–3 minutes until lobster is heated through—do not overcook.

Step 3: Assemble the Toasts

  1. Spoon generous portions of garlic butter lobster over each sourdough slice.

  2. Drizzle remaining butter sauce from the pan over the top.

  3. Garnish with chopped parsley, grated Parmesan, or microgreens.

Step 4: Serve & Enjoy

  1. Serve immediately while warm and buttery.

  2. Add lemon wedges on the side for extra brightness.

Notes

Use Good Bread – A thick, crusty sourdough stands up to the buttery topping.
Don’t Overcook Lobster – Just heat it through gently in the butter.
Fresh Lemon is Key – Adds essential brightness to balance the richness.
Use Real Butter – For maximum flavor and smooth texture.
Add Cheese Carefully – Parmesan or a light sprinkle of mozzarella works well, but don’t overpower the lobster.
