  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • Oil for frying
  • Fresh minced parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the peeled potatoes in a large pot of water for 8-10 minutes until partially cooked.
  2. Drain and allow them to cool before shredding with a food processor or box grater.
  3. In a bowl, combine shredded potatoes with flour, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, and paprika; mix well.
  4. Form small cylinders from the mixture and place them on parchment paper.
  5. Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F. Fry the tots in batches for about 5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
