  • 1 lb turkey breast (sliced or leftover)
  • 2 medium tomatoes (sliced)
  • 12 King's Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (245 g) whole milk (room temperature)
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup (113 g) white cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • ¼ cup (25 g) parmesan cheese (grated)
  • ¼ cup (½ stick / 57 g) unsalted butter (melted)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 810 slices turkey turkey turkey bacon (cooked and crumbled)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the rolls in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
  2. Make the cheese sauce by melting butter in a saucepan, whisking in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk and stir until thickened. Mix in seasonings and cheeses until creamy.
  3. Layer half of the cheese sauce over the rolls. Add layers of turkey breast, tomato slices, and crumbled turkey turkey bacon.
  4. Pour remaining cheese sauce over everything and brush tops of rolls with melted butter mixed with garlic salt.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
