  • 8 ounces linguine pasta
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • ⅓ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the shrimp seasoned with Italian seasoning until pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in flour for one minute before gradually whisking in chicken broth followed by heavy cream until smooth.
  4. Mix in parmesan cheese and sun-dried tomatoes until well combined. Return the shrimp to the skillet along with the cooked linguine. Toss gently to coat.
  5. Stir in fresh basil and serve warm, garnished with additional basil or parmesan if desired.
