- 1 box white cake mix
- 3.4 oz box of instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs (slightly beaten)
- 2 tsp Adams Extract vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 4 cups Dixie Crystal's powdered sugar
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 1 tsp Adams Extract orange extract
- 2–4 tbsp orange juice
- Orange Gel Coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare cupcake pans with liners.
- In a large bowl, combine white cake mix, vanilla pudding mix, Greek yogurt, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and warm water. Mix until smooth.
- Fill cupcake wells about 2/3 full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.
- For the frosting, beat unsalted butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, orange zest, orange extract, and orange juice until desired consistency is achieved.
- Generously frost cooled cupcakes with orange buttercream.
