  • 3.4 oz box of instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs (slightly beaten)
  • 2 tsp Adams Extract vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 4 cups Dixie Crystal's powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1 tsp Adams Extract orange extract
  • 24 tbsp orange juice
  • Orange Gel Coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare cupcake pans with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, combine white cake mix, vanilla pudding mix, Greek yogurt, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and warm water. Mix until smooth.
  3. Fill cupcake wells about 2/3 full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.
  5. For the frosting, beat unsalted butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, orange zest, orange extract, and orange juice until desired consistency is achieved.
  6. Generously frost cooled cupcakes with orange buttercream.
