Ingredients

Scale

For the Brownie Base:

  • 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the box, usually eggs, oil, and water)

For the Pecan Pie Filling:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups chopped pecans
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

For Topping:

  • Extra chopped pecans for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Brownie Base
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions and spoon about 1 tablespoon of brownie batter into each muffin cup. Use a spoon or your fingers to spread the batter to cover the bottom of each cup.

Step 2: Make the Pecan Pie Filling
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Stir in the chopped pecans.

Step 3: Assemble the Brownie Bombs
Spoon the pecan pie mixture over the brownie batter in each muffin cup. Fill each cup almost to the top with the pecan pie filling, leaving a little room for the topping.

Step 4: Bake
Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and set. A toothpick inserted into the brownie part should come out clean.

Step 5: Cool and Remove
Let the Pecan Pie Brownie Bombs cool in the tin for 10 minutes before gently removing them. Place them on a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 6: Garnish and Serve
Once cooled, garnish each brownie bomb with extra chopped pecans on top for an added crunch. Serve and enjoy the sweet, nutty goodness!

Notes

  • Use Fresh Pecan Nuts: Fresh, crunchy pecans add the best texture and flavor to the filling.
  • Don’t Overbake: Keep an eye on them while baking to ensure the brownie base stays fudgy and the pecan topping doesn’t get too dry.
  • Allow to Cool: Let the brownie bombs cool slightly before removing them from the pan to avoid breaking.
