  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper (diced)
  • 1/2 cup onion (diced)
  • 8 ounces mushrooms (sliced)
  • 6 slices Provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cup provolone cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, milk, diced bell pepper, diced onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Sauté sliced onions, bell pepper, and mushrooms in olive oil until softened. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Press half of the meat mixture into the loaf pan, layer with sautéed vegetables and provolone cheese slices. Top with remaining meat mixture.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes; add shredded cheeses on top and return to oven for an additional 10-15 minutes until melted.
  6. Let rest before slicing; serve warm.
