  • 8 slices Italian sandwich bread
  • 6 tablespoons salted sweet cream butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 48 slices turkey turkey pepperoni
  • 2 cups freshly grated mozzarella cheese
  • 8 slices smoked provolone cheese
  • 8 tablespoons pizza sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, Italian seasoning, and onion powder.
  2. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Brush one side of two slices of bread with the butter mixture and place them in the skillet.
  4. Spread pizza sauce on each slice, then layer with provolone cheese, mozzarella, turkey turkey pepperoni, more mozzarella, and another slice of provolone.
  5. Place remaining bread slices on top and brush with the butter mixture.
  6. Cook each sandwich for about 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Slice in half and serve hot.
