  • 2 cups Rice Krispies or other puffed rice cereal
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cheddar cheese, Rice Krispies, flour, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
  3. Add the butter and mix using your hands until the dough holds together.
  4. Roll the dough into balls about 1 ½ inches in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
  5. Flatten each ball slightly with a fork and create a criss-cross pattern.
  6. Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
