Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds turkey wings (split into flats and drums)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Creole seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • ½ large yellow onion (sliced)
  • 1 medium green bell pepper (sliced)
  • 4 ounces unsalted butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Pat the turkey wings dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix Creole seasoning, poultry seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Rub over turkey wings.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear seasoned wings until golden brown on all sides; remove from pan.
  4. In the same pan, sauté sliced onion and green bell pepper until softened; add minced garlic and fresh thyme.
  5. Sprinkle flour over vegetables and stir well. Gradually whisk in chicken broth while scraping browned bits from the pan; simmer until slightly thickened.
  6. Return seared turkey wings to the pan, pour in heavy cream, cover, and simmer for about an hour until tender.
  7. Adjust seasoning if necessary, serve hot over rice or mashed potatoes.
