Ingredients
- 200g fish fillets (Cod, haddock, basa, tilapia)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp white pepper
- 1 egg white
- 4 tbsp plain flour
- 5 tbsp corn starch
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1½ tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ½ onion (diced)
- 1 bell pepper (diced)
- 8–10 pineapple chunks
Instructions
- Pat the fish fillets dry and cut them into small cubes. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, and baking powder. Add egg white and cold water gradually until a smooth batter forms.
- Coat the fish cubes in the batter and fry in hot oil for about 3–4 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- For the sauce, combine vinegar, ketchup, sugar, salt, cornstarch, water, and chicken powder in a bowl.
- Stir-fry garlic, onion, and bell pepper in a wok until softened.
- Pour in the sauce; cook until thickened. Add fried fish and toss gently to coat.
