Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked ground beef or shredded chicken: A flavorful, protein-packed base.
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese: Melts beautifully for a cheesy bite.
- ½ cup cream cheese, softened: Adds a creamy, tangy touch.
- ¼ cup sour cream: Helps keep everything moist and flavorful.
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning: For that classic taco flavor.
- 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning: Adds a cool, herby twist.
- ¼ cup diced green onions: For a mild onion flavor and a pop of color.
- ½ cup crushed tortilla chips: Adds crunch and texture.
- 1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough or mini phyllo cups: The perfect crispy shell.
- 1 tablespoon melted butter: Helps create a golden, flaky finish.
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooked ground beef (or chicken), shredded cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, ranch seasoning, green onions, and crushed tortilla chips. Stir until well mixed.
Step 2: Assemble the Bites
If using crescent roll dough:
3. Roll out the dough and cut into 12 small squares.
4. Press each square into a mini muffin tin, shaping it into a cup.
If using phyllo cups:
5. Simply place the ready-made cups on a baking sheet.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the taco-ranch filling into each dough cup or phyllo shell.
- Brush the tops lightly with melted butter for extra crispiness.
Step 3: Bake & Serve
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
✔ Use Freshly Shredded Cheese – It melts better than pre-packaged shredded cheese.
