Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 lbs flank steak (thinly sliced)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 3 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Coat the beef: Place sliced flank steak and cornstarch in a gallon-sized freezer bag. Seal tightly and shake until evenly coated.
  2. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, water, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame seeds, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
  3. Cook the beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add coated beef slices in batches and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove from skillet.
  4. Add broccoli and sauce: In the same skillet, stir-fry broccoli for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp. Pour teriyaki sauce over broccoli, then return cooked beef to the skillet; mix until well coated.
  5. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
