  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup green cabbage, chopped
  • 3 green onions, finely sliced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 mushrooms, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp baking soda (optional but recommended for fluffier texture)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • More green onions for garnish
  • Chili oil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped cabbage, sliced green onions, minced ginger, garlic cloves, chopped mushrooms, sesame oil, and low sodium soy sauce. Mix until well combined.
  2. Spoon some filling into ramekins and layer with wonton wrappers until nearly full.
  3. Add about ⅓ cup of water to each ramekin and top with two more wonton wrappers to seal.
  4. Place ramekins in a Dutch oven filled with water halfway up their sides. Cover and steam for about 20 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. Remove from heat, garnish with chili oil and green onions, then serve warm.
