Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 2 cups gummy bears (or any gummy candy you love)

  • Optional: 1 tbsp lemon juice (adds a citrusy twist)

  • Optional: ¼ tsp sea salt (balances sweetness)

  • Optional: ¼ cup granulated sugar + ½ tsp citric acid (for a sour coating)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Freezing Surface
Line a baking sheet, tray, or flat plate with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Spread out your gummy bears in a single layer so they don’t stick together.

Step 2: Optional Flavor Enhancements
If desired, lightly drizzle lemon juice and sprinkle a tiny bit of sea salt over the gummies. This gives a hint of tartness and enhances the fruit flavor.
Skip this step if you want your gummies as-is.

Step 3: Freeze
Place the tray in the freezer and chill for at least 2 hours, or until the gummy bears are firm and chewy.
Once frozen, you can transfer them into a freezer-safe bag or airtight container for storage.

Step 4: Optional Sour Coating
For a tangy kick, mix sugar and citric acid in a small bowl.
Toss the frozen gummy bears in this mixture just before serving for a sour gummy version.

Notes

Spread Them Out – Avoid clumping by spacing them out before freezing.
Freeze in Batches – Keep some plain and add flavors or sour coating to others.
Let Sit Before Eating – If they’re too hard, leave at room temperature for 1–2 minutes to soften slightly.
Use Gummy Worms or Rings – This trick works for all types of gummy candies.
Store Properly – Keep frozen in a sealed bag to prevent freezer burn or stickiness.
