1 tsp white vinegar
-
¼ tsp sugar

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

Optional: chopped chives, crispy bacon crumbles, or dill for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Hard Boil the Eggs
-
Place eggs in a large pot and cover with cold water by about 1 inch.
-
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
-
Once boiling, cover the pot, turn off the heat, and let sit for 12 minutes.
-
Drain and transfer eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes to cool quickly.
Step 2: Peel and Halve the Eggs
-
Gently peel the eggs under cold running water.
-
Slice each egg in half lengthwise.
-
Carefully scoop out the yolks into a bowl and arrange the egg whites on a serving platter.
Step 3: Make the Filling
-
Mash the yolks with a fork (or use a food processor for extra smooth filling).
-
Add mayonnaise, softened butter, Dijon mustard, relish, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
-
Mix until completely smooth and creamy.
Step 4: Fill the Egg Whites
-
Spoon or pipe the filling evenly into the egg white halves.
-
For a prettier presentation, use a piping bag with a star tip.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
-
Lightly sprinkle paprika over the tops for color and flavor.
-
Garnish with chopped chives, bacon bits, or fresh dill if desired.
-
Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
Use Room Temperature Butter – It blends seamlessly into the filling.
Make Super Smooth – For silky filling, mash yolks finely or use a food processor.
Ice Bath is Key – Makes peeling eggs easier and prevents overcooking.
Customize the Flavor – Add a splash of hot sauce, horseradish, or a pinch of cayenne for extra zing.
Prepare Ahead – Fill the eggs a few hours in advance and chill until ready to serve.
